Wedding Favours, what to do?
Wedding Favours … The why, the what, the something special.
Wedding favours have been a wedding tradition for many years now. It all started as a symbol of good luck. Nowadays wedding favours can be pretty much whatever you like; From something sweet to something extravagant, or maybe a something special. Whether that’s a charitable donation or something to represent you as a couple. Way back when, newlyweds would leave a sugar cube as a sign of good wealth. Not sure your guests would love you for that though eh!
Big shout out to our friends from the awesome wedding videography duo at Marry Me Films for their super sweet suggestion… A charitable donation.
‘Charity favours… Almost every charity you can think of now have specifically designed wedding favours. We think it’s a great idea, they are really personal. You can acknowledge a battle someone is facing, they can be in remembrance of someone who has sadly been lost, or to celebration someone who has beaten a disease and you would like to help others in that same situation. They can raise awareness and show your support for a chosen cause, not only raising much needed funds for a charity but also giving your guests a special little keepsake from your day too. You don’t have to choose just one charity… the possibilities are endless!!’
Fancy doing both a charitable donation and something sweet? Check out the very talented, Amy from Polka Pops.
Both come highly recommended by DFC and are Little White Books GNWA winners.
