Father Daughter / First Dance ideas

Looking for some wedding planning inspiration for your special day?  We want to keep you inspired throughout the planning process, to make sure that your big day is the amazing wedding you have always dreamed of.

So… let’s get started. Here are some wedding tips on us to add that little bit of extra to your day…

Let’s talk dances; this might be something you have been looking forward to since you were small, or something that gives you a knot in your tummy every time you think about it.  Just remember, these dances give you those special moments for your photographer to capture, giving you memories that will last a lifetime.

  1. Have you thought about having a Father / Mother Daughter dance? If so, start your evening reception with this.  This perfect moment was captured at Stephanie & Matthews wedding at the  beautiful The Glass House at Staining by Claire Basiuk Photography.
  2. Then have your partner join you half way through by shaking hands with Pops or kissing Mum on the cheek.
  3. If you have a Sax player booked with us, bring them on before the dance has finished and invite your guests to join you both.

Boom… party started and you are guaranteed to have a full dance floor!

On the subject of getting those perfect wedding photo opportunities, here is a tip from the award winning photographer at Project Valentine:

‘My top tip… Wedding guests tend to gravitate to where ever the happy couple go. If they’re outside, most guests tend to be there also. So, with this in mind, if you want to have a great party at night, get on that dancefloor and stay there. The longer you’re on the dancefloor after your first dance, the longer your guests will party also. If you leave right after your first dance, then guests are likely to follow suit. Be sure to invite your guests up towards the end of your first dance, normally before the final chorus, as the song picks up for a final time. This provides  the perfect time to allow your photographer to get enough shots of just the 2 of you before everyone jumps in. Follow this up with a killer track and stay there until you can dance no more! That way you’ll be sure to get some great party photos before the evening food rolls out’.

If you know you want something special for your wedding but don’t even know where to start, just give us a call.  We have over 10 years’ experience, we know what works and how to get what you want from your day.

Dreaming of the perfect night for your #perfectwed Dreaming of the perfect night for your #perfectwedding ? Have you thought about #newyearseve ??? If not we recommend you consider it. We’ve had some of the BEST weddings ever on that special night! Here’s some #weddingtips for your #weddingplanning

1️⃣-Plan early, get your #weddingvenue & suppliers booked asap!

2️⃣-Send out those #savethedate cards just as quick!

3️⃣-Think #glitznglam . New Years Eve is traditionally the night to get dressed to the 9s and party like it’s 1999.

4️⃣-Plan your day with midnight in mind. Work with your DJ or band to bring in NYE with style and one that your guests will remember!

5️⃣-Hire a babysitter for those family and friends with children, you don’t want to be left on the dance alone as the clock chimes 00:00.

6️⃣-Transport & Hotels. Think early for booking accommodation; put on transport for guests staying further a field.

7️⃣-Order enough #champagne to fill a swimming pool, you’ll need it at midnight. Just don’t forget to provide a bit of h20 as well! No one wants an early finisher.

8️⃣-Costings, NYE will ultimately cost you more as suppliers and venues normally add on a bank holiday fee.

9️⃣-Plan your day with a later start time, if you want guests to still be partying hard well after midnight, roll with a lazy morning in preparation for a long night.

🔟-From experience, NYE is one of the best nights to get married. If you want to have the anniversaries of anniversaries then NYE is the night for you.

Kerry’s #weddingtip 👇🏼

Your wedding day isn't the time to experiment. You want to feel beautiful in your own skin so that when you look in the mirror, you see a polished, radiant and confident version of YOU.
If you're not a big make up wearer normally, you don't have to pack it on for your wedding day. However, if you love a vintage vibe and love to rock a red lip and a wing, then flippin go for it!
My goal when pampering my brides is to achieve a beautifully flawless make over that truly reflects their personal style.
If you do fancy adding a bit of extra flair to your look, why not change your lippy in the evening? It's a really easy way to switch up the glam for when you hit the dancefloor!
