How to find a makeup artist for your wedding

It's all about research!!! Go on Instagram, Facebook, use Google and look at who is out there. Makeup artists have different styles and ways of doing things so find someone who suits you.

What's the best makeup to use for your wedding?

There isn't a best makeup to use for your wedding; we would get our brides to come down to the studio to have a trial. This trial is very consultative, so we will try different products, talk to you about your skin, what you like to wear and things like that. It is very important that we select something that will last the full day for the bride.

How do you make makeup last from ceremony to last dance?

Well... we actually offer a service called 'From First Glance to First Dance'. This means that we are with you from your ceremony all the way up to your last dance. This is obviously the best way, to have a makeup artist on hand for if there are a few tears throughout the day.

For those that don't feel they need someone on hand throughout the day, as makeup artists we know how to prep the skin, the products that will suit that person's skin and we would use finishing products to ensure you are looking just as fresh as you did at your ceremony.

How do you do your own wedding makeup?

Practise to make sure you get it right on the day. Make sure you use water proof products, just in case you get a bit teary, and they also tend to last a bit longer. Also, if you want individual lashes putting on, get them done professionally before your big day so that they last.

Biggest Wedding makeup tip

Stay true to you, if you love loads of mascara and fluffy lashes, or if you like to keep it natural, stick to it. You don't want to feel like somebody else. Just remember, if you aren't really a makeup wearer, we can make it so you don't look like you are wearing much makeup and that you still look good in front of the camera for your pictures.
