Who we are
This site is run by The DFC Experience, the trading name of Dancefloor Couture Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07497999), registered office 14 St Thomas's Road, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 1HR. We are the data controller for the information you send us. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us or call 01772 733337.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through our enquiry form. That means your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your event (event type, date, venue, budget, the package you are interested in, your partner or event name, and any message you write). We also record whether you have said you are happy to be contacted on WhatsApp.
We do not ask for, or store, any special category data (such as health information) and we do not take payment details through this website.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to arrange entertainment for your event. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is that this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business and replying to people who contact us.
How we contact you, and WhatsApp
We will contact you using the details you provide, by phone or email, to discuss your event. We will only message you on WhatsApp if you have ticked the box to say you are happy for us to. If you do not opt in, we will not contact you on WhatsApp. You can tell us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing. We do use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, purely so the enquiry reaches us and is managed properly:
- an email delivery provider, so your enquiry reaches our inbox and you get a reply;
- our event planning and booking system, where we manage enquiries and bookings;
- our website hosting and content platform, which runs the site itself.
Each of these is contractually required to keep your information secure and to use it only for the service they provide to us.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry leads to a booking, we keep your information for as long as we need it to deliver your event and to meet our legal and accounting obligations afterwards. If your enquiry does not lead to a booking, we keep it for up to 24 months in case you get back in touch, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies, and we do not build a profile of your browsing. The only cookie we set is a functional one used by our team to preview unpublished content while editing the site. It has no effect on you as a visitor.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent to WhatsApp contact. To exercise any of these, just email us. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
We would always rather you came to us first so we can put things right. But you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
